4th Week Blogging Tip–Pace Yourself and Track Your Progress
by Heidi Caswell
This weeks homework Pace yourself, schedule time for your blog, but don’t let it get in the way of doing your business. Each blog is different, has its own unique purpose, flair. Set yourself some kind of goal and keep it.
One business may be a professional blogger, where their income (not a small chunk of change) comes from their blogs. That person or group of people would spend the majority of their time focusing on their blog or blogs. Another business may use a blog to post like a monthly newsletter to their subscribers.
So each business owner must decide how much time to spend on their blog and develop their own plan.
Todays blogging tip from Angela Betts:
I’ve got a link here to a post on the blog of a young lady that created a spreadsheet for tracking work on your blog. In the post there’s a link to another post by Darren Rowse, the ProBlogger at ProBlogger.net, about using points to track working on your blog on which she left a comment. That’s how I came across her blog and her spreadsheet.
It’s a good spreadsheet and you’ll understand why after you read Darren’s post about the subject. I downloaded it and have started using it to keep myself on track with my blogs.
Here’s the link to her post with the download link to the spreadsheet…

For those who missed the earlier weeks, I’m still working on week 3 myself, got busy changing the blog and didn’t finish what I wanted to do to keep out with all these great blogs. I do need that tracking system, and plan my time wisely.

Heidi,
This message also demonstrates how simply commenting on other blogs will get exposure for your blog.
The spreadsheet by DillyDesigns.com has already been a tremendous help for me when it comes to prioritizing my blogging time and efforts, too.
Have a GREAT weekend!
I am another person that has a difficult time keeping up with my blogs…most of the time I forget what blogs I have, so this excel sheet might be the answer I’m looking for!
Thank you!
