Bea’s Beatitudes/All About Herbs
A great blog from Sage Hill Farms, a sustainable farm project in Lincoln county Tennessee.
Bea and Mike Kunz are devoted to growing the herbs and foods they eat, and market, without any chemical products such as pesticides, fertilizers, and additives of any description.
Growing and living without doing harm to the land and environment is ” sustainable living.”

Bea is one of the most special southern ladies that I know. She is a boundless source of information and support. The knowledge I have gained from her about the yuk in store bought spices will forever be ingrained in my mind.

Ginger my sweet friend, and the one and only who holds a “title” among our Teas. “GingerZing”…it speaks for itself.

Oh, and the seasonings Ginger speaks of, it’s important to not have bugs and dirt in our foods. Don’t you think?

Come visit for a spell and I’ll tell you a story.

January has settled in and “tea” time is one of my favorite winter treats.

“GingerZing” is still a favorite when I’m feeling as though I’ve had just a wee bit too much good food. And…I enjoy thinking about my good friend “Ginger Marks,” whom the tea blend is named for.

There are teas that will lull and send you off to a peaceful night sleep with no drug hangover in the morning.
Even teas to do the same for the little ones.

Tea is one of many good things we can do for our well being.
One simply must relax when having tea, which in itself is a good thing. We can have any other beverage on the run…but tea~~demands a slowing down and sipping with purpose.

Many New Year blessings, among them, a year of “tea.”

Hey Ginger and Heidi…and all who are checking in to the blogs. I’m still blogging and still farming…geez have I been busy. I can’t believe all we have accomplished in this year up to this point.

God, family, friends and life are so good to me. Grateful just doesn’t seem to cover it as well as I would like.
    But…grateful I am.

I grew a large patch of zinnia’s this year, deep ruby reds, orange, yellows, white, pinks, and purples. They are about 3 to 4 feet tall and just so awesome. The roses have been exceptional and the herbs as usual…out of bounds.

I’m working every day to get a large wholesale order dried and packaged for pick-up…44 pounds, yes, that’s a lot of dried herbs. They are for a natural pet treat business…how cool is that ?

    Love you all…now and forever~
