Now one thing I just didn’t get was what were all those little icons scattered on other people’s blogs? What are the
benefits? Digg, Del.iou.us, Stumble Upon, Technorati, Squidoo, the list goes on and on.

I was like too much to learn at once, what is the big deal, why do I want to my websites/blogs bookmarked that way, why not just bookmark sites you find interesting from your browser tool bar and be done with it? Yet I kept hearing good things about how social bookmarking increases your visibility, etc. Still I couldn’t learn about all these various sites at once, so I started with Technorati, which to me is also a blog community.

As I read more about social bookmarking various places, I began to get it, sharing my thoughts on what I’ve learned so far:

Is social Bookmarking becoming the new search engine.

Having others bookmark your blog and/or website is a good thing.

A great way to organize websites for feature reference.

Assignment: Newbies- learn about one of the social bookmarking tools and use it.

Experienced- share which social bookmarking websites are your favorites, which you dislike? Why?
